Empty Spaces
I awaken
With the quarter spent
Moon,
Hanging in deep blue
Darkness,
Highlighting
Silence
In a silver sphere.
We meet
For an eternal moment
In quiet awe.
He sleeps
With the rest,
And today
I live with the moon
And wonder
Where the flock of geese
Are going,
And if I should
Know,
And be with them.

Chance
Magic hills
Silhouette my mind,
Voices call
With no answer.
In the stillness
Of the night,
I pant,
Like an animal
Having traveled so far,
And so much more to go.
I step
Into the in between
And let go,
Not knowing where I will land,
Not knowing who I am
Or if the in between is where I live.

Stars,
Fall
From the darkness,
Leaving their trail
of broken hearts,
Forgiven.
Shattered
in the fall,
emerges,
their eternal
Heart,
Saying….
“You Called?”

The Gift
I sit
on
The edge,
of night’s
Western darkness.
Beyond,
A light,
Slowly sears
The dark veil,
Like an embedded ember,
Forgotten,
In a sheet of ash,
Igniting,
silently,
From an unseen wind,
In prayer.
I view,
An eagle,
Soaring.
Cradled,
In her talons,
An ember of light,
Trailing,
like a magician’s
handkerchief,
Drops
In my lap.

The river
Water
Runs,
Through my hands,
Like velvet,
Like
Echoes,
Washing me away.
Fathomless pools,
See far beyond the surface.
Brimming
With forever more,
And, is
No more.
Just Love.
Remember
Who you are,
He says,
I am everywhere,
In the still pool
Seeing you,
In the rushing
Current,
Guiding you,
In the stars
Above,
Watching
Over you.
I am
Your heart,
Mingling
With the salt
Of the earth,
Breathing, dragon
Fire,
Igniting
The preciousness of the
Moment,
I wait.
On the river’s
Edge
For you,
Soaking
In the last
Rays of sunlight,
And the river’s babble,
Before,
We
Go home.

Rest
In between
The spaces
of silence,
I reach for my heart.
Sometimes,
I succeed
to be
The river and the water
all
at once.
A miracle of divine acceptance.
There is no separation
between the ordinary and non-ordinary,
only,
a breath
or
two,
or
the rustling
of
my heart.
