About Gigi Kast
My passion is the stillness and creativity of nature and animals. Nature feels to be my true home. At a young age, between four and five years old, a physical unicorn came to remind me to believe in myself and remember who I am. Throughout my life I have been on this quest.
I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1974 with a BA in Education with a minor in Fine Arts. After college, while living on Cape Cod, I worked with the rhythms of the tides, moon and sun. It was one of the happiest times of my life. My life centered around the sea, gathering oysters and eels for a living. It was there that I became a Polarity Therapist, EMT and an assistant midwife.
As an empath, I gravitated to the healing arts and studied with Debra Kier and became a practicing multi-dimensional healer. At the basis of my healing is a shamanic nature guided by my guides and channeled beings. Sound moves through me spontaneously to assist in healing.
I studied with Rosalyn Bruyere for close to ten years. She is a world-renowned healer, clairvoyant and medicine woman. Also, during that period of my life, I studied with Emilie Conrad, founder of Continuum, a visionary and somatic pioneer. At that time, Susan Harper was her partner in Continuum. Susan is a mentor of creative inquiry and is a heart-soul counselor. Susan is an inspirational teacher and has nurtured my soul. I was honored to be with Grandmother Twylah Nitsch, Seneca Elder of the Wolf Clan when she was teaching from her home. She is in my heart with great respect. Throughout the years, I have gathered healing tools and studied with various other healers, such as Vianna Stibal, founder of ThetaHealing. For the last thirty plus years, I have participated in a spiritual community helping to bring harmony to the world.
I have taught numerous workshops assisting people to connect with nature; learn about the medicine wheel and find one’s spirit animal through movement.
A cat of mine communicated and persuaded me to leave my healing practice with people and venture into the world as an animal communicator and healer. I became a professional animal communicator in 1995. I took a couple of courses with the renowned pioneer of animal communication, Penelope Smith.
I was a state licensed wildlife rehabilitator for numerous years in Maine. When I moved to New Mexico in 2004, I worked at the Wildlife Center for 12 years.
I have been a writer since a young age, publishing here and there. Then a unicorn came to me saying he wanted me to write the unicorns’ true stories, not the man-made ones and here I am.
